Low Wood - Nuthatch feeding young in nest hole, Garden Warbler building nest at nearby canal bank.
Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - Reed Warbler seen, Garden Warbler in full song.

Glovershaw area - Grasshopper Warbler, drumming Snipe, a single Golden Plover, and the usual Curlew, Lapwings, and Meadow Pipits.
Sconce area - Cuckoo heard, and another drumming Snipe.
(the Grasshopper Warbler was in the "Golden Plover field" next to Golcar Farm, "reeling" very loudly & persistently from the long grass - very difficult to spot)

Chiffchaffs galore, Willow warblers, goldfinch, cormorant, loads of mallard, chaffinch, blackbird, robin, wren, pheasants, garden warblers, WHITETHROAT, long-tailed tit, great tit, blue tit, mistle thrush, wood pigeon, curlew, greylag, jackdaw, swallows, greenfinch, kestrel, GREEN WOODPECKER (heard twice), treecreeper, PIED FLYS (in F/Hall Wood: 2 male & 1 female), b/h gull, g/c grebe.

walk from Barden Bridge to Cavendish Pav and back, 0715-1045 hrs…
1 common sandpiper, 2 dipper, several sand martins, a few swallows, 5-6 swift, 2 pr mandarin ducks, 1 female goosander, 2 treecreeper, 1 redstart singing (not seen), 1 oystercatcher, heron, g/s woodpecker throwing bark down onto path, male sparrowhawk, garden warblers heard, a few willow warblers, chiffchaff, nuthatch, wood warblers (at Cavendish end, west side path), jay heard, cuckoo heard, jackdaws, c/crows, starlings, curlews, usual pheasants, mallards and ducklings aplenty, b/h gulls, blue tit, chaffinch, goldfinch, long-tailed tit, great tit, coal tit, robin, wren… But NO Pied Flys,

Strid Wood - 1 Pair of Wood Warblers both very active, 4 male & 2 female Pied Flycatchers, 2 Male & 1 Female Redstarts, a pair of Siskin also very active, pair of Goosander, 3 Dippers, 2 Grey Wagtails, a pair of Oystercatches, Male Mandarin + GSW, Green Woodpecker yaffling and a Cuckoo heard at Barden Bridge.

River Aire and Esholt Sewage Works - 2 Kingfisher, Dipper, Grey Wagtail, Blackcaps, Willow Warblers, Chiffchaffs, Garden Warbler, Common Whitethroat, 2 Oystercatcher. Hundreds of Swallows, Swifts, Sand Martins and House Martins over the filter-beds.
