More Waxwings - seen this afternoon at 13.50 - 40 birds feeding on mountain ash berries in Evergreen Walk. This is a walk through in an area of flats near to Crossflatts Railway Station but on the other side of the by-pass.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - Kingfisher, excellent views of Green Woodpecker, pair of Kestrels displaying over the reserve and visiting the box, G S W, Bullfinch.

Stockbridge Reserve (members only) - 39 species recorded including - Water Rail showing well, Kingfisher, Chiff-Chaff catching flies, Bullfinches, Siskin, GSW, plus 350 Fieldfare in small flocks flying west. Also BHG picking insects from the top of willo trees on the banks of the river. This strange feeding method was also noted on Halifax Birders site on Friday 22nd Oct.

3 Greylag Geese, 4 Cormorants, 5 Red Kites, 7+ Buzzards, 1 Sparrowhawk, 3 Kestrels, 1 Peregrine, 50+ Waxwings (1 flock of 9 birds at 10.20am, 2nd flock of 40+ birds at 11.15am flying through and calling, quite good views but unfortunately they didn't stop!), 180+ Fieldfares (flocks flying through all morning), Goldcrest, 2 Ravens, 9 Siskins.

Fewston Res. - single Whooper Swan plus 24 Teal
Timble Ings - 8 Crossbill plus 300 Fieldfare flying west in flocks of about 50 each. Also a few Siskin, Redpoll & Bullfinch.
