Scargill Res - ice free but with only Mallards & female Goldeneye.
John O'Gaunt & Beaverdyke Res - both ice bound.
On the east side of Beaverdyke - 3 Tree Sparrow & Marsh Tit in garden. Marsh was feeding on soft crab apples still hanging on tree.
By the side of a stream below the farm in the same area, 40 Lesser Redpoll bathing.

42 waxwings on the lone hawthorn at the top of Rockwell Lane, Idle 8.15 this morning
still plenty of berries on this bush.
