Hirst Wood this morning - male Lesser-Spotted Woodpecker first heard calling and drumming, and then seen feeding and drumming. Also Treecreeper, Goldcrest, Jay, and plenty of Coal Tits.

3 pairs of Goosander, 5 Great Crested Grebes including 2 pairs, 7 Cormorants on fishing lake including 1 in full breeding plumage
3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, a singing Reed Bunting in reed-beds
