Glovershaw area
There were four Stonechats in the Glovershaw area today, two on the Glen Road and another couple by Golcar Farm. The most prominent species was probably Reed Bunting with a post-breeding flock of at least 12 on the bracken on both sides of the Glen Road and one or two more on the moorland fringes along with numerous very active Meadow Pipits.

Sconce Lane Area produced a male Yellowhammer! The bird was seen as it perched in one of the few trees between the fairways, it then flew off into the bracken. Also noted were 8 pairs of Meadow Pipits, 3 singing Reed Buntings, 2 pairs of Linnets, 6 singing Willow Warblers and a pair of Curlew with a juvenile. A Green Woodpecker was also seen near the scout camp and the pair near Brackenhall were still feeding young birds this morning. There's probably four pairs of Green Woodpecker in the Baildon Moor area
