Glovershaw area
There were four Stonechats in the Glovershaw area today, two on the Glen Road and another couple by Golcar Farm. The most prominent species was probably Reed Bunting with a post-breeding flock of at least 12 on the bracken on both sides of the Glen Road and one or two more on the moorland fringes along with numerous very active Meadow Pipits.

There was quite a movement of Stonechats this morning. A bird was seen on the bracken near Crook Farm, another was along the Glen Road, three more were on the fences and walls near Golcar Farm and another three were at the bottom of Birch Close Lane, making eight in total. Seven Jays and two Snipe passed over Glovershaw, another was flushed and Reed Buntings and Meadow Pipits were active.
