Mandarins on the Wharfe

The number of Mandarin Ducks has increased this year to c60 on the River Wharfe near the Strid woods. Now we're in the winter months the car parking fees do not apply during Monday to Friday at both the Strid and Cavendish Pavillion carparks.

Norr Hill, Wilsden - Grounded Skylarks on the Hill reduced to 24 (groups of 3 and 21). Only a single grounded mipit located on the Hill today, however a large group of c50 was flushed from a new location in one of the fields on the approach footpath. A big influx of Linnet today with c170 in several large groups

Two congregations of grounded Skylarks this afternoon, 27 flushed from the rough and 19 from one of the surrounding fields total 46. Grounded Mipits were in short supply with only 18 located.
