Crossflatts Station - At 8.00 there were 25 Waxwings feeding on berries. This afternoon, no birds seen but still some berries remaining. Flock probably disturbed by commuters.

30 fieldfare feeding on  hawthorn berries, last Sunday and again today at 12MD. Sighting was down Whalley Lane in the dip between Denholme and Moscow(Half Acre Rd/ Back Heights Rd junction)

Bradley Ings - Grey Phalarope located on river between Cononley Station & Bradley Ings this morning.

Grey Phalarope still showing well Cononley, 15.00hrs. For those who don't know, heading down Cononley lane from main Keighley/Skipton road, foot path right side of Cononley lane, just before new houses, on pool 100mtrs from road, near to river. Also a different Whooper swan to the one yesterday dropped in for 10mins.

Bradley Ings
No sign of Phalarope at 13.45 to 14.45, just a few common Snipe flushed, 300 Lapwing in flight, 1 Whooper swan for last 10mins. Lots of Fieldfare up by canal and at least 20 Blackbirds near to swing bridge.

Bradley Ings - Grey Phalarope plus 2 Dunlin
Site - only flooded field on left of main Skipton Road heading west, directly opposite where a large house is situated before the turn off to Bradley. Warning -suggest that no parking should be made on the busy main road. Phalarope seen at 10.00 but has kept flying off, then returning. Last seen at 11.20.

Waxwings are not feeding on the Reserve but come across the river to roost on the riverside. Berries are situated behind B & Q on two trees.

Baildon -a flock of at least 25 Waxwings, in mature decidous trees in the gardens of homes at Bilsdale Way (West Lane) Baildon around lunch time, they gradually split up and some flew north toward Baildon Moor and some into the wood to the south, Midgeley Wood, and Baildon Bank.

26 waxwings on Oakworth road Keighley roosting in sycamore tree outside farm suppliers (whitakers) also feeding on berries in tree line outside health center.

Last night at Timble 10 Waxwings came into roost.
Tonight - 2 parties of Waxwing - 12 + 6 came into roost. also 400 Fieldfare to roost as well as Mealy Redpoll caught and ringed. Both nights a few Brambling about as well as good flocks of Goldcrests and Coal Tits.

Shipley Glen
Whilst walking round the Glen there were four very noisy Nuthatch and at least eight Jays feeding on acorns. But the surprise was a male Lesser Spotted Woodpecker high in the trees alongside the park homes on the Eldwick side of the Glen and five Grey Herons were dotted at various spots in the meadows.

Bolton Abbey - 5 Brambling near the fountain. There may be more because the birds are feeding close to the side of a steep hill overhanging the river on the beech mast, and are difficult to see.

2 Waxwings feeding at Northside Terrace Lidget Green

the Ilkley waxwings appeared at Backstone Way again this morning, they were preening and feeding between 0735 and 0800, mostly perched in ash trees by Sacred Heart School (Valley Drive), occasionally flying off to similar trees at the back of Spooners nearby. Flock comprised approx 40-45 birds in total.
