John O'Gaunt Res. - 2 Little Grebe, 2 Tufted, 6 Teal, Kestrel, 2 Grey Heron & Buzzard. Also a Blackcap feeding on elderberry. Plenty of Swallows & House Martins about.

Scargill Pasture - Wheatear.
Stainburn Plantation- Hobby seen perched on the edge of the conifer wood plus 40 Siskin flock. As I came back to the car park I heard a bird singing or what can be described as twittering. It came from a small beech tree at the entrance to the car park where 4 male and a single female Crossbill were perched. Despite the brisk wind, good views were enjoyed.
