Thursday continued

Cononley Ings: Most of the water on the western side of the river has now gone, but a much increased number of 360 Teal were present on what little remained. Birds have now largely relocated to the biggish pool on the eastern side, near the road, and comprised 14 Shoveler, 4 Pintail, 6 Gadwall, 200 Wigeon, 46 Greylags, 34 Pinkfeet and 1400 Lapwing. This number of Pinkfeet were in a field near Redcar Tarn on the 7th. They flew off, but didn't appear to go far, so are probably the same birds.
There were 650 Lapwings at Silsden Floods.
