Glovershaw, Baildon
A walk around the area showed that Willow Warblers are now in-situ with six males singing from various vantage points, particularly at Crook Farm. The Golden Plover flock is holding up well with 170 resting in the field alongside Glovershaw Lane. About 15 pairs of Lapwing are at their breeding sites, a few pairs of Snipe, a couple pairs of Curlew, a pair of Oystercatcher, a pair of Grey Partridge and numerous Skylarks, Reed Buntings and Meadow Pipits were active. Six Linnets were seen at the top of the Glen Road and a Green Woodpecker could be heard from Shipley Glen.
