Glovershaw and Baildon Moor
A glorious day to be out on the moor and note the progress of breeding birds. About 15 pairs of Lapwings are now well established in the fields around Golcar Farm, a pair of Grey Partridge have settled-in, Snipe are displaying and Curlew can be frequently heard and seen flying by. At least six pairs of Skylark are nesting alongside the Golf Course, Meadow Pipits are performing their display flight, but there was no sign of Golden Plover.
