Whetstone Gate & Ilkley Moor
One wheatear (female), a few red grouse, 3 lapwing,
several skylarks in song, three or four golden plover on the
burnt flat area around 400 yds down on the Ilkley side of
Whetstone Gate, close to the “road”
Two or three siskin in the wooded area between Spicey Gill and
the White Wells track. Cuckoo heard on lower slopes of Moor
