Upto 4 male Wheatear in the area during the day but no
further sightings of the Black Redstart.

Denton Hall: 91 curlew in fields in front of Hall

Private Lake:
1 little grebe, 3 teal (2 males, 1 female),
2/3 great spotted woodpecker (but no lesser), 1/2 chifchaff, 2 nuthatches and 2 treecreepers. 6 wrens

Barden Fell: 12 meadow pipits and 18 red grouse on walk up from Valley of Desolation and down to Howgill (but no stonechat). 1/2 ravens at Simon’s Seat

Howgill:
3 pairs of goosanders below stepping stones; 1 pair of mandarin and 2 males between Howgill and Barden Bridge

Strid Woods: 1 singing dipper

Glovershaw
20 Lapwings, Snipe, 6 Meadow Pipit, Kestrel, single flock of approx 200 Fieldfare flew over and alighted on trees to north towards Menston Rd. pair Linnet, 2 Skylark, 2 Curlew, 2 Reed Bunting

Lots of blue tits, great tits, long tail tits, robins, chaffinches, a few chiffchaff, nice views of nuthatch. 2 Red Kite, 2 Buzzard , Curlews
Kingfisher – at Addingham suspension bridge
Grey Heron, another Kingfisher, pair of grey wagtails, pair of goosander, kestrel – near Addingham Low Mill. Further goosander, grey wagtails, pied wagtails down stream to Ilkley
