No sign of the Ring-billed Gull reported to have been there two days ago.

east of apperley bridge.
2 dippers near rail bridge, 3 teal, 7 lapwing
5 goosander (1 male), 3 little grebe, kingfisher
sparrowhawk, numerous nuthatches, GSWs, treecreepers

Pair Goosander, 175 Coot, 75 Wigeon, 10 Goldeneye,
5 Pochard

Dowley Gap
1 Chiffchaff still about filter beds, 40c Meadow Pipit, 50c pied wag, 3 Grey wag, 48 Redwing on filterbeds and a few more in surrounding trees. Sparrowhawk still making regular unsuccessful attacks but managed to grab a few feathers off one of 2 Mistle Thrush. Kestrel also trying its luck for a bird. 5 Lapwing feeding in field next to crossover bridge. Several G.S.Woodpeckers drumming and showing in woods. 4 Goosander on river.
